From the beginning, education has been central to our commitments as Machik. Today, building vibrant communities and networks among recent Tibetan graduates is now a fundamental part of that commitment.
"Every year, young Tibetans--both inside Tibet and in diaspora--graduate into uncertainty. Many are the first in their families to attend college. Some are the first in their families to ever attend any kind of school. We remember the uncertainty that comes when you are the first to venture into new waters. So we offer this unique space for young graduating Tibetans to connect and hear from inspiring peers, mentors and elders who have forged new pathways while navigating difficult circumstances." - Dr. Tashi Rabgey
Graduates will share their educational journeys, lessons learned, and sources of inspiration. Keynote speakers will also deliver formal remarks reflecting on these transformative global times.
We warmly invite all Tibetans who are graduating this year from high school, university or vocational training to join us as honorees. The first 25 graduates to RSVP will receive a commencement greeting with original commemorative art designed by Dr. Tenzin Choephel of Ghan-ri. All participating graduates will also receive certificates as part of the MAC Tibetan Class of 2025.
